Animal related sessions are carried out in our private paddocks in Nether Wallop, in a safe and enclosed outdoor space. Clients are seen in private sessions unless there are customer requests for very small group bookings.  We are also available to visit nursing homes/schools upon request and subject to appropriate risk assessments and safeguarding procedures being agreed in advance.

Crafting sessions and Memory Bear making are held in the Village Hall in Nether Wallop. It is a charming, well equipped and comfortable newly built facility which can cater for those with mobility issues.

• Good shoes / boots for walking in. The ground is uneven and has divots and trips hazards. Open toed shoes or sandals are not suitable and customers will be refused a session without suitable footwear.
• Weather suitable clothing. Raincoat / Jumper / Fleece or layers if the weather is changeable. A small rucksack if you think you may need to carry a layer.  Gloves if the temperature is very cold, the paddocks are quite exposed.
• Water bottle. We have mains water on site, however it is preferable that you have your own water bottle.

• Umbrellas. Alpacas find umbrellas quite alarming, so if it is raining please use a hood or be prepared to get a bit wet.
• Food for yourself. We cannot allow people to eat around the animals for hygiene and safety reasons, but we also need to take care about what food is given to the alpacas as some things can be very poisonous to them.

• Dogs are not allowed at our premises. The only exceptions being:

  • Guide Dogs for the Blind
  • Hearing Dogs for the Deaf
  • Medical Alert dogs

  These dogs must be exceptionally well behaved or we may have to ask them to leave if they cause distress or anxiety to our alpacas. 

  All customers are reminded that alpacas are naturally prey for large canines and therefore can be very upset and scared by dogs being in the vicinity.  Dogs cannot be left in cars in our car park, so please do leave your dog at home.

We are able to bring a maximum of 3 alpacas to schools, for outdoor sessions. We do need to visit the school to assess the facilities, access routes and fencing provisions in advance of visits and agreeing pricing, but are very happy to discuss with headteachers or SENCO staff to find a package that works for each individual school.

Yes we are fully insured and hold public liability insurance for £5,000,000.00

We would be delighted to supply you with alpaca manure. We charge £1 for 15 litres, you can bring your own containers or hire buckets from us. See our Alpaca poo/manure pickup booking page. 

We don’t have any fleece left from the 2023 shearing, but if you would like to go on the waiting list for 2024, let us know as we are taking down names. Each fleece is £10.

There is no upper age limit on clients we can work with, however, we do insist on children being aged 10 or over.  This is mainly because of the need to be able to follow instructions and understand/empathise with the animals. Programs can be tailored for the following issues:

• Low confidence / Self esteem
• Grief
• Coping with bullying
• PTSD
• Behaviour management
• Loneliness
• Stress

The director, Gail Foster, is a member of the Complementary Medical Association, and has diplomas in Canine Physchology, Animal Assisted Therapy and Mindfulness for Mental Health. All staff have enhanced DBS checks carried out by the company and minors or vulnerable adults are never left alone with staff. It is company policy that they must always be accompanied by a parent/guardian or other responsible adult. Full public liability insurance is held for work on or off the premises.

We don’t provide therapy as psychologists, therapists or counsellors, although we can direct clients needing these services to practitioners specialising in Hypnotherapy and counselling for the Human Givens.
