Al

Al is our most chilled alpaca. He is pretty laid back and doesn’t panic too much, he is really one of the good guys.

Al is a bit of a foodie, but is often pushed out by Rhod, Billy and Johnny, so a little bit of extra attention is always available for Al because he is such a dude and we really love him.

AL

Billy

Billy is an intelligent and cheeky alpaca with a lovely nature. Very gentle but not a pushover, Billy is always wanting to know what is going on and is one of the first to come and investigate (sniff) new items in the paddock. Billy likes people and wants to get to know everyone, if Rhod doesn’t get there first!

BILLY

Romesh

Romesh is quite nervous of people, but he isn’t a push over. Romesh will hang back at feeding time, but isn’t afraid to push the others out the way if he feels they are monopolising the treats. Don’t be fooled by his lovely innocent eyes... Romesh is waiting to take over the world when the time is right!

ROMESH

Johnny

Johnny is one of our more confident but calm alpacas. He is a loveable rogue who does like to butt-in and make sure he is getting enough attention when the treats are being handed out. Johnny is the easiest alpaca to recognise because he has a small brown spot on his back. He was one of the first to be haltered and start working in our activities, Johnny is a firm favourite once you have gained his trust, no-one can resist his mischief.

JOHNNY

Richard

Richard is a very timid alpaca, someone has to be bottom of the pecking order, and it is our Richard. He’s shy with new people and doesn’t like noisy situations. He often gets pushed around by Rhod and Johnny who are much more confident. Richard likes Romesh the best and they can often be seen hanging around the paddock together.

RICHARD

Rhod

Rhod is our herd leader. He is always on the lookout for danger and will protect the other boys. He is our most confident alpaca and always wants to be at the front and in charge of all the others. He also thinks all the food belongs to him! Sometimes a little overbearing and getting himself into trouble with Billy and Johnny, who don’t want to be bossed around (or spat at!) Rhod can be a little grumpy as he doesn’t like being touched, but he is so full of nosiness and his heart is in the right place, that we forgive him his occasional tantrum!
